By car, from the ring road north of Leeds, the A6120
Go to the junction of the A6120 and the A58. Turn onto the A58 towards Leeds. After half a mile turn right at the lights (marked 'Roundhay'). After a mile you will get to the crossroads at Oakwood Clock. Go straight on over the traffic lights. Oakwood House is on your right after 200 metres. You can park behind Somerfields' supermarket for up to two hours. In practice, this two hour limit is not enforced by Somerfield: the security guard at the supermarket even advised me to ignore it. There is also a small carpark by Oakwood clock itself, and street parking nearby. Tesco’s free car park is 300m down the road (no restrictions).
