    Joy? or seeking happiness?

Well, of course I don’t know how you get on with all of these questions, but I can tell you about

how co-counselling comes at these questions.

Celebration

In the CCI Network we believe it is really important to value ourselves, such that when moved to do so, we can stand tall and be unashamedly enjoy an take in our own pleasure, delighting in a moment either alone or shared with others.

Too often in our culture, joy is something that is deemed possible to get mainly via some external medium. For example, enjoying oneself (notice the ‘joy’ bit in that word) can be had via being entertained by others, even via an electronic gadget (TV etc.), or by going somewhere, doing some pleasure activity (fairground ride).

The co-counselling process always puts a big emphasis on feeling the value of oneself even when we are confronting some unattractive or unwanted aspect of ourselves.
