My professional experience:

Before moving to Leeds, I lived in London for many years and worked in several differnet areas of the workforce - publishing, retail, secretarial, catering, teaching, before undergoing a therapeutic training. All my work experiences have contributed to my practice as a therapist/counsellor.
My therapy work has included working with young people (16-25); students; individual adults; leading support and personal development groups. I have been practising since 1995 and I attend annual residential events where I work on myself in groups.
I believe that personal growth is an on-ging process that can last for a lifetime and that we can come and go for therapeutic help at different times in our life.

I have worked in the following settings: mental health drop-in centre, university counselling services, psychotherapy department, school, voluntary sector agencies and I have been offering workplace counselling via several EAP services. I co-teach on an annual 'co-counselling' course.

My most important experience has been going through the therapeutic process myself e.g. my own personal therapy, being in various therapy-style groups, attending personal development and professional workshops and seminars.

Foundation Certificate in Gestalt Psychotherapy (London)
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (LMU - Leeds)
MSc in Psychotherapy (Leeds University)

I am BACP and UKCP Registered.
